Welcome To Freedom Elementary
Freedom Elementary, is one of Cheyenne's most recently constructed elementary schools which was constucted in 2005.It serves as the neighborhood school for military children who reside on Warren Air Force Base. The facility has wireless technology and many cutting-edge technological systems to enhance learning. The modern structure housesThree sections of full-day Kindergarten, 1st grade, and class-size reduction in 3rd grade,and two sections of all other grade levels with the exceptioon of one 6th grade classroom.
A decicated staff with a high level of expertise place emphasis on providing students a solid academic foundation and offers academic challenge to students. Guided reading and instruction provided through the reading-writing workshops model ensures student's reading and writing success. In addition, interventions such as CLIP (Collaborative Literacy Intervention program are offered for at-risk students. Lucy Calkins writing strategies provide the basis for writing instruction. Every Day Math is used, Freedom's staff continually work toward school improvement and is supported in its efforts by parents/guardians and community. The goal of Freedom Elementary is to maintain a positive learning community dedicated to providing a quality education for all children.
Freedom Elementary School is part of Laramie County School District Number One and prepares students to attend McCormick Junior High and Central High School, all of which are part of the Central Triad school Configuration.
